A Pinterest Wedding

Wednesday, June 8, 2011

I am one of those girls that has been dreaming about her wedding for years. I knew I wanted to marry my fiance very early in our relationship, and after waiting many years for the right time to come along, it is finally here! I have been saving pictures and ripping out articles that I like, but sometimes it can all just become a big jumble that is forgotten. Introducing Pinterest! I have been obsessed with Pinterest ever since my sister introduced me to it, and it has been a great place to organize all my ideas. Here are some of my pins, and ideas for the big day. Happy Pinning! You can check out my Boards here.
Since we are looking at a Winter Wedding, I want to create a clean, crisp look that coincides with the season. I love the fresh and simple details of this ceremony.
Since my fiance comes from an East Indian background, I want to try and incorporate ideas from his culture that add a little bit of flavour. I love the traditional Indian wedding attire and I think it would be so beautiful to wear an Indian style veil.
From reading about how to budget properly and spend money on the things you love, I know that photography is one of those things I do not want to be cheap on. I will DIY my butt off if  I have to, in order to put that money towards a fabulous photographer. How gorgeous is this photo?!
After saving many many bouquet ideas, I have come to realize that it all depends on the season. Thankfully I have the best florist in town (my mom), and a great source within the floral wholesale business to help me out. I really love the simplicity of this bouquet but still the uniqueness of each flower.
If you are local (Toronto + GTA) and are in the wedding business, feel free to contact me about your services. I need all the help I can get.

Classic with a twist

Tuesday, June 7, 2011

It was a rainy Saturday so I wore my new trench coat that I got as a gift from my mom from her recent trip to Holland. It is the perfect staple to add to my wardrobe that can be mixed and matched so many ways. I thought I'd throw on the leopard print scarf to create a little bit of visual interest to a classic outfit. I was just wearing a plain black top with jeans and flats, but by adding the jacket and scarf you can get a simple look that's perfect for a rainy day.

Outfit: Double Denim

Friday, June 3, 2011

Here's my take on Double denim - summer edition. I thought I'd change up the scenery for you and take some pictures in our old greenhouse, but the lighting was really difficult. We'll have to try again on a cloudier day. Soooo glad it's Friday! Hope you have a great weekend.

Summer '11 Inspiration: Double Denim

Thursday, June 2, 2011

Who doesn't love double denim? You don't? You're crazy! (but I still love you)
I hope that you all have a wonderful Thursday! You shall see my double denim remix tomorrow. See you then.

 The Daybook
With inspiration from the lovely Sydney, I've linked up for Awkward & Awesome Thursday.
Awkward:
~Walking into the bathroom at work and seeing your 50 year old co-worker standing over the sink with her shirt off! She said she was hot and was trying to cool herself off. Hot-flashes? I don't know, but it's not something I wish to ever walk in on again!
~Giving someone a business card and them asking if you come with it. Why do 50+ men hit on me(?)
~The first soccer game of the season. Getting a charlie horse half-way through the game and limping around like I have a stick up my butt
Awesome:
~The BF and I buying our first car together. Should get it next week!
~The sunny 30 degree weather we are having this week
~The first soccer game of the season!
