Oompa Loompa, Doopa-da-dee: 6/30

Tuesday, February 8, 2011

So I know that I wore my chambray shirt in the last photo, but these were taken on the weekend, and that means pure laziness and absolute comfort are key. I apologize for looking a little orange in these pictures. It was a really grey day and when I was editing, I suddenly turned into an oompa loompa for some reason. On another note, things are beginning to kick off for NYFW and I am insanely jealous of any of you who will be attending any shows or the Blogger Conference. If only blogging could become my full-time job = amazing. Well back to my day job + some other fun stuff that is for me to know and you to find out. Keep your ears and eyes open for a fun announcement coming soon!
I'm not sure what was funny...but this is me. I hope you like me.

Snow Leopard: 5/30

Monday, February 7, 2011

Despite the constant snowfall this weekend, we still managed to take some outdoor shots. I don't think it ever stopped snowing so there was really no way around it. I am longing for sunshine and spring outfits! Maybe I'll just have to start dressing like it's Spring and hope for the best. I had a lovely weekend with the bf. We saw "The Roommate" with Minka Kelly and Leighton Meester and I now have a revived affection for Minka. Her style was amazing in the movie and I am now on the prowl for a vintage leather jacket. Did you all enjoy The Superbowl??

Yes, I have kankles: 4/30

Friday, February 4, 2011

I realize I look like I have kankles, but that's just how it has to be when you wear converse in the dead of winter. It's still freezing outstide but I beared the cold in between my nauseous stomach just for you. Yes, you.  I didn't want to look too serious in a black blazer and white tunic so I threw on one of my favourite scarves, some wooly socks and of course my touque (aka hat for you non-Canadians).  I think these are going to be my weekend staples. Nothing better than a good pair of woolies. I'm so glad it's the weekend so I can just hang out and be lazy without feeling guilty that I'm skipping work.
I tried to go without the hat...
That didn't happen. On with the hat.

Hope everyone has a great weekend!

It's a herringbone kind of day: 3/30

Thursday, February 3, 2011

I'm sorry if I look miserable in these pictures but it was ffffffreezing out today! I tried to smile but I felt like my lips were going to freeze to my teeth, and that just wouldn't be cute. My scarf was the only thing keeping me warm. Note to self, don't wear tights in -20 degree weather.
So on another note, I had my first wonderful  hellish experience with food poisoning yesterday and I've never felt so sick in my entire life. I'm recuperating today so I wore this outfit for a total of about... hmmm... 10 minutes. Which also explains the frizzy hair and sunglasses. (didn't really feel like putting my game face on today, sorry) Never-the-less, enjoy this sunny day!

Spicing things up: 2/30

Wednesday, February 2, 2011

Day 2 and feeling good!
This is me spicing things up... I know it isn't showstopping but since I usually dress fairly casual I didn't want to create looks that weren't truely me. I'm digging army green and cognac brown right now so what better way to celebrate these colours than to create an outfit! I have found this skirt to be very versatile while trying to create outfits so plan on seeing lots more where that came from. (sorry if you don't like it, you're going to have to deal with it for the next month)
Hope you all are staying warm and can enjoy the snowstorm of the century from your cozy home. I on the other hand will definitely be at work - no snowdays for me.

30for30: 1/30

Tuesday, February 1, 2011

So my remixing days have just begun. I know this outfit is nothing outside the box for me, (besides wearing heels with a casual outfit) but I plan on spicing things up a little for my next outfit. I am struggling with staying true to my style and stepping up and creating unique looks. I'm terrible at taking fashion risks so I figured this is going to be my opportunity to just jump in with both feet. Check out my 30 pieces and give me suggestions on what you think would be a good risk to take.

Keep checking back to see what's next!
