So the next big debate is concerning what I will wear on my head. For as long as I have been planning my wedding, I have always pictured myself wearing a long cathedral length mantilla veil. They just seem so romantic and elegant.
I tried on a few styles with my dress last time, and realized that the dress has so much beautiful detail and I want it to stand out rather than the veil. So here are my options. My fiance has already given me the thumbs up on a birdcage veil, but I think I would like to stay a little bit more traditional.
What do you think?
Veil - Birdcage/Headpiece - Headband?

Very beautiful accessories! Difficult to choose one, they're all gorgeous! Have a nice day! Hello from Rome!
ReplyDeleteThis is a tough decision but have you gone dress shopping yet?
ReplyDeleteAt first I was like NO veil...I am not traditional. Then when they put it on I was like whoa this is cool...hahaha :-)
I think you should wear a veil, your wedding is the only day in your life you can get away with that. Unless someone died and the veil is black which is a sad occasion we are not going to think about while talking about your wedding.
ReplyDeleteIf it is in your budget, you could still get a headpiece (the last one is my fave) to wear at the reception.
I agree with blue! Go with a veil. I do still love that mantilla veil, really sooo pretty, but how about a short veil maybe to kind of make it less big? Would still go with that. You can wear one of those headpieces being a guest at a wedding, but you should shine and go over the top (a little maybe) at your own one :) Well, that's what I would do. Not sure how it is together with the dress, so it might work better with a headpiece. Difficult, difficult
ReplyDeleteThat's a hard choice. I do like the first two the most though!!! :)

The veil/headpiece debate seems to really depend on the dress and how you're doing your hair. My friend just tried on a bubble veil with her dress and I thought that looked nice. Otherwise, I'm a HUGE fan of birdcage veils and fascinators. Can't wait to see what you choose :)
ReplyDeleteYour choice! I didn't wear a veil because it didn't fit with my dress/style. Also, check out Austie Eckley (http://austieeckley.com/). She has some gorgeous headpieces! xoxo
ReplyDeleteLove the feather. Gorgeous and unique. And so in right now!

i love both headpiece and veil! i think it all goes down to which item fits the dress best!!!
ReplyDeleteHum... I say it comes down to what you are doing with your hair. If you are wearing it up, then I would go with birdcage or headband, but down then I would go with the veil. But it's all up to you. :D x
ReplyDeleteI like the birdcage but you can also remove it....followed you,if you want, you can do the same
