This weekend my fiancé and I are having our engagement photos taken by Laura Fess Photography. I have known Laura for many years (since grade 6), and know how much talent she has, and can not wait to work with her! She is a fabulous photographer with tons of creativity and a great personality. I wanted to end the Summer '11 Inspiration series with a bang, and go where I hardly ever dare to go - Pink. I am not a much of girly girl when it comes to my clothing, and it's not often that I reach for that pink top in the back of my closet. Since Fall is undoubtedly on it's way, I thought I'd go for it before it's too late.

I'm trying to enjoy every last minute of summer before it's too late, so I thought I'd go for a punch of red just so I could wear my favourite lipstick again. You will be seeing much more of this beauty coming up! But that'll have to wait until next week...be patient my little lambs.

I had a wonderful time at a baby shower yesterday for two of my oldest and dearest friends! It was great to reconnect with friends and their moms and get excited about the new little babies that are on their way into our lives. Hope you had a great weekend!

I got to spend the afternoon sailing and catching up with some old high school friends, Amanda and Danielle from Hellodenj yesterday which was quite lovely. I was a little sea sick though which totally sucked but thankfully I made it through without tossing my cookies overboard. Hope you all are enjoying the last of these summer days! Wedding Wednesday: Reception outfit

One of the ways I decided to add a touch of Indian tradition was in my reception outfit. I love all the beautiful beadwork and colours that Indian outfits offer, and I wanted to take this opportunity to wear a lengha at my reception. We found the perfect one the second we walked into the store! I wanted to stay with a traditional ivory colour (which is hard to find) but was very lucky when I found the perfect colour combination of ivory and purple to match the colour scheme of our wedding.
