It's Monday.
After spending a relaxing weekend at the cottage, coming back to work sucks. At least it's a long weekend for us since Friday is CANADA day! Hooray for long weekends. Now only 4 more days to go. Let the countdown begin.

We had our first official wedding appointment last night for a venue. For some reason I was nervous since I had no idea what to expect (my type A personality kicked in), but it turned out great and we absolutely fell in love with the place. Here's a sneak peak at the Venue. I can't wait to make it official! In case you didn't notice, I have dedicated "Wedding Wednesday's" to update you on my wedding plans. Hope you like-y.

Not only did this rockin' headband and new lipstick make me feel badass, I had major attitude leftover from last night's soccer game. It was a terrible - and let's just leave it at that. I tried some Avon cosmetic's for the first time and I am quite happy with it. I got this new shade of red lipstick that I wanted to try out. I am thinking of doing red lips and nails for my wedding but wanted to see how it would look in pictures. I don't want it to look obnoxious... and I don't want my fiance to have red lipstick all over him from obsessive kissing. Hmmm, Food for thought. To Red or not to Red.

Nothing is better than feeling comfortable! This baseball tee is one of my favourite's for lounging around or running errands. Show a little leg, let down your hair, and throw on some classic kicks.

I am getting my hair cut/dyed tonight! I love having a fresh new hairstyle and colour, somehow it just makes you feel 10x better. Here's a sneak peak at the style I want to get. Longer side swept bangs and lots of layers!

Awkward:
~ Telling people your very romantic engagement story
~ Sweating so much that your terrible plastic dress pants stick to your butt and thighs
~ Trying to break into my dad's truck through the back window while climbing over piles of stuff, in a McDonald's parking lot. People love to stare. 
~ Running into people at the gym and trying to make conversation while sweat is dripping into your eyes and your heaving like a sandbag


Awesome:
~ Getting engaged to the one I love!
~ Planning a real wedding and not just a pretend one.
~ Weekend plans in the sun with favourite friends and family
~ Seeing my cute parents hold hands on the couch while having their morning coffee

I am one of those girls that has been dreaming about her wedding for years. I knew I wanted to marry my fiance very early in our relationship, and after waiting many years for the right time to come along, it is finally here! I have been saving pictures and ripping out articles that I like, but sometimes it can all just become a big jumble that is forgotten. Introducing Pinterest! Since we are looking at a Winter Wedding, I want to create a clean, crisp look that coincides with the season. I love the fresh and simple details of this ceremony.

Since my fiance comes from an East Indian background, I want to try and incorporate ideas from his culture that add a little bit of flavour. I love the traditional Indian wedding attire and I think it would be so beautiful to wear an Indian style veil.

From reading about how to budget properly and spend money on the things you love, I know that photography is one of those things I do not want to be cheap on. I will DIY my butt off if  I have to, in order to put that money towards a fabulous photographer. How gorgeous is this photo?!

After saving many many bouquet ideas, I have come to realize that it all depends on the season. Thankfully I have the best florist in town (my mom), and a great source within the floral wholesale business to help me out. I really love the simplicity of this bouquet but still the uniqueness of each flower.

It was a rainy Saturday so I wore my new trench coat that I got as a gift from my mom from her recent trip to Holland. It is the perfect staple to add to my wardrobe that can be mixed and matched so many ways. I thought I'd throw on the leopard print scarf to create a little bit of visual interest to a classic outfit. I was just wearing a plain black top with jeans and flats, but by adding the jacket and scarf you can get a simple look that's perfect for a rainy day.
