So after viewing many 30 for 30 outfits over the past few months, I decided to join the Winter edition starting February 1st. I know it may be difficult since I struggle to take outfit pictures as it is already, but if it was easy it wouldn't be a "challenge" now would it? This challenge was created by the lovely Kendi from KendiEveryday, if you haven't seen her blog yet, you must go check it out!
I am trying to pick pieces that have character and visual interest so that the outfits have a lot life to them. I find that mixing the same basics always gives you the same result, so I'm stepping out of my comfort zone a little and trying to mix texture and pattern.

Fashion Blogger: Elin Kling
Elin started her career as fashion editor at the lifestyle magazine Solo and since then has been fronting the fashion department of Sweden’s second largest daily newspaper Expressen. In 2009, Kling was the head stylist for Swedish Idol, and in 2010 became a household name when she competed in Dancing with the Stars.
Today Kling is working as Fashion Director at her own fashion magazine Styleby, founded by Sweden’s largest media-house Bonnier. She is also the first fashion blogger in the world to be launching her own collection for H&M. The exclusive 9 piece collection will launch in Spring 2011, but will only be available in Sweden.

Elin Kling is also the founder and partner of Fashion Networks – Sweden’s largest online fashion community, which she runs together with partner Christian Remröd.

I have been trying to decide what to do with my hair lately.
Since I wake up at 6:15am, doing my hair every day is becoming a pain in my behind. I want to embrace that free spirit-hippie look but can't push myself to quite do it. I usually straighten or curl my hair, and also dye it on a regular basis, so I want to try and give it a rest from all of this damage. I have seen so many of my favourite bloggers following this ombrey, oh naturale trend and can't help but want to give it a try. I have always been called 'cute', which I hate. I wanna be a hot mama and have a little edge! I am discovering my own sense of style and trying out new things along the way, so I am considering this as my next venture into the fashion blogger world. I am ready for a dye job... what do you think... should I skip my hair appointment and try out the grunge look?

Born in Los Angeles, California. Raised in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Minka is an actress whose most well known role was Lyla Garrity in the TV series Friday Night Lights. She has also appeared in movies such as The Kingdom, and 500 days of summer.
I love her personal style as well as her natural beauty. She is sometimes mistaken for actress Leighton Meester from Gossip Girl.

So, a new year has begun and I'm not too sure how I feel about it. My parents are on vacation right now, my BF is back home, I'm back to work, and I wish it wasn't so. I was way too comfortable spending late nights with my family and sleeping in. Well now it's back to reality and I'm looking forward to an exciting 2011.
