We started to have some winter-like weather last week, which has me pulling me out my winter jackets. I have been looking for a jacket for this winter season and have been seeing a wide range of shearling jackets lately. It is currently snowing, and I am officially done with winter. It has been one of the coldest winter's I can remember and I am definitely hoping to take off to a warm, sunny beach sometime soon! 
As seen in my 2014 bucket list, I really wanted to go to Dominican Republic this year with my husband and enjoy our 2 year anniversary on a beautiful white sand beach. But of course while looking through several travel sites, there are so many places I would love to see! So, I need your suggestions for a budget friendly, All-inclusive beach holiday, with a little adventure.

Have you stayed at a rental home vs. resort? What was your experience?

My husband got a new job, so we headed out for a romantic dinner for two to celebrate. I thought I would put my pinterest boards to use and try out this hair style that I think is so simple and classic. It's fun to find things that help me create my own unique style, and really feel like 'me'. You like?


The winds have been really cold, and the snow covers the sidewalks so I had to stick with a warm sweater, thick tights and boots.

Yesterday, Danielle and I beared the cold winter winds and took some outfit pics in my backyard. I threw on my (husband's) wooly socks and burgundy turband, and tried to stay warm. We even got some crafting time in to prepare for my upcoming Love-day shoot next weekend with the lovely Stephanie. Looking forward to sharing that with you next week. This morning when I opened my blog feed all I saw was Leopard print! It seems to be the top trend for this coming winter. I guess it's a good way to keep things fun and interesting in the midst of cold winds and freezing temperatures. What trends are you loving for winter?

With a new season, comes a yearning for some fresh new things in my wardrobe. Some things are wants, but others are needs. Now distinguishing between the two of them is the tricky part! Since realizing that I am allergic to all of my wonderful warm and cozy angora sweaters, means I have to replace a few of them so that I don't continue to freeze my buns off at work. So here's a few things I have been painfully longing for since all of this cozy winter fashion has shown it's face.

Well it is that time of year again - yes, winter. Since this week has been crazy due to Hurricane Sandy, the winter chill has already started to blow through Toronto. I love throwing on a big cozy sweater, but also want to look sophisticated and chic during these long winter months, not frumpy. I love how these ladies put together such great outfits while still staying warm!
